Is Air New Zealand's 777-300ER safe to fly in as well as Lufthansa's A320neo?

Recent plane crashes makes me kind of nervous

Recent?
The last fatal incident involving a 777 was in 2014 and that was shot down over Ukraine. Since no one knows what happened to Malaysia 370, I don't think any 777 fatal crash has been attributed to the plane.
There have been no fatal crashes involving an A320neo and the last fatal incident on an A320 was in 2016.

Both Air New Zealand and Lufthansa are very safe airlines to fly with. You should not be concerned. Also the recent plane crashes involved the Boeing 737 Max 8. The Max 8 is a very new airplane and Boeing almost has a software fix for it. The 777 has been around awhile and the A320neo is also a safe aircraft to fly with.

The 777-300ER is a variant that has been around since 2004 with no known recent issues with safety. Same with the A320neo since its introduction in 2016.

The 737 Max 8 is a newer aircraft introduced into service in 2017. (It is meant to replace the 737-800) The crashes involving the Max 8 is looking more like to be software related. However the investigation is continuing.

It is highly unlikely that these incidents will have any impact on the safety of the aforementioned aircraft. Recommend that you have a cup of coffee, relax, and enjoy your flight.
