Can I bring my Juul on a plane without TSA telling my parent?

I'm 16 and i'm flying out to California with my dad. I want to bring my Juul, but he doesn't know I have it. If I keep it in my carry on bag, will airport security say something to my dad about the Juul?

You can't pack it in your checked luggage and it should be immobilised by removing the batteries, if they spot it on the X-ray and want to check your bag, then that would be game up.

Liquids must be put in clear plastic bag and taken out of carry on bag.

TSA is interested in security, not in stupid teens doing stuff they shouldn't be doing. It MUST be in your carryon- not your checked luggage. They will run the bag through the x-ray. If anything looks like a weapon, they will open your bag and search it. They might hold up the Juul. They looked at my bag about a month ago, the guy took out my little shaver and held it up for the women behind the x-ray machine to see. You'll either have to risk it, or kick your addiction.

It is amazing how many teenagers try to hide things from their parents, but TSA isn't concerned with teenagers trying to seek things past their parents. They are concerned with making sure that nothing that could be a danger gets through.

The Juul must be in your Carry-On, and you should have the batteries removed. If it comes up on the scanner as a possible weapon they will pull your bag off to the side and hand search it.

But that's not it you must put all of your liquids, gels, and aerosols in a separate quart sized zip top plastic bag and take it out of your carry-on to go through the scanner. So your "juice" would be required to go in there and your parents could see it. If you fail to separate it out they will see it on the scanner and again hand search your bag.

When they search your bag it is very likely your parents will see the items in your bag, and the next few hours on the plane will be a very long one for you.

Keep the device stowed in your carry-on when submitting it through x-ray.

The TSA is not in the business of age-related enforcement. The TSA is only interested in keeping threats such as explosives and weapons off of commercial aircraft.

If your bag is selected for an inspection and you feel uncomfortable of the inspection being done in public, ask for a private screening. This will be conducted out of public view.

Will the security scanner see the juul if it's in my backpack covered with stuff

Yeah I flew a few months ago with a juul and I had it in my front pocket and I was 14 and traveling with family and I was so scared and they opened my backpack moved some stuff around then put it back in the scanner I was so scared but it was all fine… I'll be traveling again soon so I'm hopefully the airport will be packed bc I rly don't want them to take their time looking at the x rays!
