If I'm in transit in one airport to go to another airport (different country), do I haveto go through custom and immigration again?
I plan to go to Nashville and has to touch down in London The lay over is an hour and a half. Do I have to check in, go through custom and immigration again?
I'm really concern not having sufficient time to be on the next plane.
If you STAY in airport NOPE.
Check with your airline.
I have never been in an international airport where--as long as you do not leave the transit area--you would have to go through customs again. I assume that if you left the transit lounge you would have to go through costumes to get out, and then again to get back in.
If you are having a connecting flight then there will be no need of it but if you apply for a transit then you have to go from all the process
It depends on the country. For example, the US and Canada require everyone landing to go through customs and immigration, even if they are flying to a 3rd country.
I have landed at Heathrow from out of the UK and connected to flights to other countries. I was able to do so every time without going through customs. Heathrow has a very good website that explains every step of a transfer there. This is pretty common in Europe and some other countries.
If you are changing to another international flight at Heathrow you do NOT need to go through Immigration and Customs, but you will need to go through security. So don't waste time once you disembark, get to your next boarding gate as quickly as possible.
You go through Immigration and Customs when you enter your destination country. You do not go through when you are leaving your country, and you generally do not go through when you have a layover in another country (unless that layover is in the US or Canada - everyone has to go through Immigration and Customs when landing there).
You will not have to go through immigration at Heathrow but there will be a security check.
No. You only go through Immigration and Customs when you firstt land in your destination country.
- Booking trip with two different airlines vs same airline? Any differences? One over the other? I'm deciding on which flight i should take to Honolulu. The cheaper flights seem to have two different airlines. For example, flight to LA on American airlines, then from LA to Honolulu with Alaska. Compared to sticking with one airline. Any bad experiences with having two separate airlines? Is it safer to stay with one airline as in luggage safety?
- How do I confirm my airline ticket in another country? So I'm going to Iran through Pegasus airline. In the past about 3 years ago using a different airline, I remember going to some office in iran to confirm my ticket. Does anyone know how or do I need to do this with Pegasus airline?
- Transit at Newark Airport(EWR)? I'm planning to transit at EWR this month. However, I haven't been to there and don't know the route or system. Arrival terminal is B and departure terminal is C I want to see how to get there and some points I have to care.
- As a Canadian can I stay in a European country longer than my flight layover on the way to an Asian country? E.g. Leaving the Frankfurt airport as a stopover and staying in the city for a week before resuming the rest of the flight to Asia?
