Is 1 hour and 15 minutes too short for an international connection in Istanbul (IST)?
I'm flying from Atlanta to Venice with a stop in Istanbul (IST). The connection is only an hour and fifteen minutes long. From what I have heard, this should be okay since it is the same airline and all international, but I was wondering if anyone had actual experience at this airport or know the security process at IST for international connections. Will I have to go through customs and security again?
You won't have to go through Customs but you may easily have to go through a security check.
You will have enough time IF your incoming flight is on time, you get off the plane quickly and you go straight to your departure gate without hanging around wasting time. There will be no time to waste.
Strange route, since it is further to Istanbul than it is to Venice from Atlanta, by several hundred miles. But length of flight sometimes does not mean "more expensive".
It is enough time, and the airline will automatically re-book you on anther flight if your flight from the USA is delayed.
- Why don't airports use steam catapults and transverse arrestor cables, like they do on aircraft carriers, for extra short take-off & landing? 1. Airports could be pretty tiny with runways no longer than a football field 2. Takeoff and landing (takeoff especially) would be *much* more exciting 3. Airlines could charge people more money because the experience would be much more fun 4. It would save a lot of fuel with much less taxiing around the airfield, and much less fuel used during the takeoff phase
- Is a 2 hour connection at an airport enough time? I'm traveling from Seattle to Charleston SC with a connection at Chicago O'Hare. The connection time is 2 hours. Should I make it 3 hours?
- Atlanta airport concourse I to S in 90 minutes? - 1 I'm flying in to atlanta from the UK on VS0103 at 3:20pm and taking off at concourse S to Raleigh Durham at 4:47pm. I have no luggage so do not need to pick anyrhkng up. I have an ESTA that I have used a few months back so thats all eady to go for a faster security checkpoint, but is an hour and 27 minutes really enough time for the connection? Any help is appreciated thanks.
- If companies stopped making supersonic planes like the concorde because it was too noisy expensive why are they bringing them back? Companies like nasa lockheed martin are working on supersonic air travel And colorado company boom is developing a 55 seater plane So if companies are working on supersonic travel does that mean airlines will have to cancel their boeing 787 dreamliner or airbus A350 orders or any widebody orders due to supersonic travel
