Can I use the airport lounge?

I'm traveling to St Marteen, but I have a layover in Miami for 6 hours. I'm flying first class on American Airlines, so I assume I was able to go in the lounge. I looked it up to make sure, because I'm going next month, but it said international places, which I'm going to. The caribbean was not on the list of places though. So am I not able to use the lounge? Can someone tell me how this works.

I suppose you could just show up at the lounge, explain your situation, and ask them if you can use it for free. If not, most airlines nowadays will sell you a one-day pass to their lounge for something like $25 or $50, so if you're willling to pay that, it would probably still be worth it to get out of the crazy noise and kerfuffle of the main terminal.

Admirals Club membership allows access.

You can purchase a one day pass if you desire.

As just a First Class Passenger. NO.

Caribbean is part of North America and only a few destinations qualify.

That's really strange! Those lounges were originally FOR first class passengers, and I've been able to use them every time I was in First Class. The airlines are really getting stingier and stingier!

Your ticket alone in not enough you will need Admiral club membership. Day passes are not available at Miami, but you maybe able to buy a day membership at another lounge.
