Anything interesting to do in Abu Dhabi airport during 2-3 hour layover?

You could hang out in the bathroom and give head.

Look out the window at all the sand.

I passed through it a couple of times about 8 years ago but found it crowded and un-user-friendly. Still, maybe it's changed since then. I just found somewhere to sit and opened a book.

Most of this time will be taken up just getting off first flight and being where you need to be before next flight stops boarding before departure.
Make a toilet stop or two. Much more comfortable than on the plane.
Get something to eat or drink and your time is done.
It does have lots of things to explore but you really do not have much time.

  • Can I pass through Airport Security with Cooked lunch in my Carry-on/Personal during travels to the USA? I plan on making a trip to the USA for the summer, However, one of my flights has a long stop where I will be waiting for more than 10 hours until the next plane departs. As you can imagine that's a lot of waiting, and I don't want to buy the expensive food available at the airport. So is it okay to prepare a cooked meal and bring along with me? Example: Baked Chicken and Rice with steamed vegetables.
  • London 8:30 hour layover? In a few days i will have a 8:30 hour layover in london where i need to change airports. I arrive at Heathrow Airport at 7:40 and leave Stansted airport at 16:15. We want to visit one waterstones and have lunch at an Honest burgers. Is this possible? How can we do this in terms of public transportation? Is there another restaurant that is not super expensive that serves the impossible burger? (We want to try impossible/beyond burger)
  • What's the best car route to JFK Airport from western New Jersey I-78, during evening rush hour? I'm flying out of JFK in a couple weeks. I will have my car, with reserved parking already lined up. I will be coming from the west on interstate 78. Should I try to avoid Manhattan and head south and go around via Staten Island? How much time should I allow? My flight is not until late, so I've got all day.
  • Must I change terminals or do anything else while traveling the same airline the whole journey? I plan on taking an exclusively Delta flight from Birmingham Shuttlesworth to Bangor international and I'm worried about having to change terminals or go through security again when i stop for my layovers in Atlanta and JFK International, or if i can keep layovers shorter by being able to remain in the same terminal through the whole journey. Thank you for your time and help, and have a great day!
