Are Baggage Limitations on Airlines per Person (No matter the age )?
If the child is a traveling as an "infant in arms" they do not get any baggage allowance on most airlines. Each airline is different, but other than the infant thing, I think the baggage rules apply to everyone (although we did have some weird thing where they were trying to charge us a fee because of a child but we didn't have to in the end but it was confusing so I don't really know what they were trying to charge us for)
So if 1 adult and 1 child (Not an Infant) are traveling and the limitation is 1 25kg bag does that mean they can take 2 25kg bags? (Asking DCM5150)
Yes, its per person with a ticket (infant in lap has no ticket and no baggage allowed); but it depends on your ticket class. Buiness gets more, they new"cheap seats" pay for everything.
If the person has a ticket they get the luggage allowance.
- Spirit airlines baggage fees? We're three people flying and when I looked online, it showed the price of the first bag was $50, the price of the second was $60, and the price of the third was $100 (based on at-the-counter check in prices) do these prices apply to one person? As in, if each of us had only one bag, would it be $50 per person, or since there's three bags would it be $210 based on the fact that there are three bags?
- Hawaiian Airlines Baggage Size Leeway? Hawaiian Airlines specify that the dimensions of hold luggage should not exceed 157cm when added up. The sum of my suitcase's dimensions however is 164cm. I've asked them and they say I could face oversized baggage charges of $100 for each flight I travel on, just for these few little centimetres. My questions are: how do they even know if a case is mildly oversized? Has anyone ever gotten away with oversized cases with Hawaiian?
- United Airlines baggage allowance? I'm traveling economy with united airlines and from what I understand you can have a purse/backpack, carryon, and one checked bag under 50lbs free of charge. It this correct?
- United airlines baggage charge, will i be denied checked baggage? I recently booked an international flight from Edinburgh to Newark, without realising there's a 60 dollar baggage charge for each way, i'm happy to pay this upon checking in My concern is that at the airport they may possibly tell me there isn't room for my suitcase, has this ever been the case before? I can't even call the airline due to all their offices being based in the US
