Can I take a 20 stuffed animal on the plane?

I'm domestically flying within California and I was wondering if I can bring one carry on, one personal item, and also my 20" stuffed animal bear that can't fit in a suitcase. I'm flying Alaska Air. Would they let me bring this on the flight?

Added (1). 20inch stuffed animal

Only if it's stuffed with drugs

This stuffed animal will have to be either your carry on or personal item due to the size. This would be like bringing three bags. If you can't fit it into a suitcase, I recommend vacuum sealing it and then packing it. I vacuum seal most of my clothes every time I travel by air to avoid paying for a checked bag.

The animal will most likely have to count as your personal item or carry-on. You could call the airline to ask for sure, but that is a sizable item in addition to what you're already taking on board.

The problem is that short flights are usually done by small planes. There' s not a lot of room in the overhead bins. If you try to stuff a carry on bag in there AND a huge stuffed animal, you'll be taking up someone else's space, and they are NOT going to be happy. This is the kind of thing that causes fights on airplanes. And the airline might make you gate check your carry on, which is probably what you should do to begin with.

Ship them home to yourself.

I have been a frequent flyer for decades and I have never seen a stuffed toy that size be counted as a carry-on or personal item. Just carry it aboard.

Put it in a carry on suitcase. A 20" stuff toy should easily fit. It is going to have to get shoved in the overhead bin. With dirty worn carry one suitcases, it will get ruined.

It would count as a 3rd item. If you can shove it in one of the other bags when you go through the gate, that is fine. If you have to carry it outside of the other bags, then no.

No
That would be 3 items

Just stuff it under your shirt and say your preggo
