Do foreign airports flying to the US have to follow TSA rules for flights going to the US?
I was flying from Amman, Jordan to Chicago, USA and when I was going through security I was told to keep my laptop and liquids in my bag. Keep my shoes, wallet, phone and watch on person as I went through the x-ray that revolves around your body.
Although it was convenient for me I did not feel entirely safe for the 12+ hour flight and later realized on the flight that I had a 7 ounce bottle of water that they did not even take away from me.
For next time I have booked my flight to have a transit in Doha, Qatar but I still feel like what the Amman airport is doing is wrong. Especially if I did not feel safe at all but was forced to take the flight because I had an important deadline to meet in the USA (which was luckily not the case for me)

- What are United Airlines' rules regarding phone power banks? I'm taking a trip soon and I can't find anything on their website on whether or not they're allowed. I want to carry one in my personal bag.
- Do I have the right to change flights when the airline have changed the time? I booked flights for the summer and my return flight has changed time, and is now earlier. There's a stop over, which would now be a very long wait due to the first flight being earlier. Will I be allowed to change the second flight to a earlier one, so I don't have to wait so long? Also who do I change this with if I do, the company I bought the tickets from or the airline itself?
- Traveling to a foreign country alone? In a few weeks, I'll be traveling to a foreign country by myself. I'm from the US and I've never traveled by myself before but, I've traveled with my family on numerous occasions but never by myself. I was just wondering, I forget how you check in to an airport, so what's the process of doing that? I'm just having a mental block, probably because I'm nervous and excited. Also, any other tips for going through an airport, flying, or going through customs?
- Baggage rules for Aer Lingus, RyanAir, Transavia, Norwegian Airlines? Size limits, fees, and rules if applicable. (checked-in baggage, carry-on, personal item) For multi-city travel, what size bags would fit ALL the airlines' rules?
