Is it true that Frontier Airlines charges extra to have oxygen actually go to the little yellow mask?

How ridiculous! There's no cost, each section has an independent oxygen generator, there's no way of metering the supply.

No, not even Frontier would charge for that. However know that the oxygen is only good for around 8-15 minutes which should be enough time for the pilots to get the plane to a low enough altitude that you can breathe without assistance.

Suggest you actually check with Frontier Airlines.

If you asked you would discovery the answer is NO charge to have the mask drop from the ceiling compartment. You do have to activate it to start the oxygen flow. Not much point the limited supply just going out over an empty seat.

If you NEED oxygen during your flight you call ahead and arrange an Oxygen supply.

Don't be stupid, do you really think that any airline is going to charge you for something that is compulsory for them to have in case of an emergency. It's like them saying you have to pay to use the life vest under your seat in an emergency. Do you really think that if the oxygen was needed in an emergency situation they are going to say sorry you can't use that you will have to suffocate because you haven't paid. Some how I don't think so.

Well done for dumb question of the day.
