Frequent travelers, how do you actually carry your passport?
It there a certain passport wallet style you like or do you just keep it separate from everything else? What are your tips to make fumbling with documents and passport at the airport? Do you always carry it on your person while abroad? Any tips welcome.
Always have it on me wrapped in polythene in a waist pouch except when actually using it, when it is with the rest of the documentation, boarding card etc which is usually in a cargo pocket.
Edit: It has its own outer cover as well, which I got after putting the old passport through the washing machine and all the gold disappeared of the front.
I travel a lot.
I keep my passport in my inside jacket pocket. (zipped closed)
Inside the passport, will be my boarding pass, and any visa I currently need.
Any other travel documents, like insurance, hotel details etc, which are not always needed, are kept in a pouch on my hand luggage, which is still easily accessible
I just carry it in my purse. At one time I had a jacket with large front pockets. That was useful, because I could put the passport and boarding cards there so I didn't have to hold them while dealing with my luggage. But you're usually in line long enough at immigration to get it out of a pocket, purse, carry on or whatever. In the hotels, I put it in a safe if there's one.
I carry it in a pouch which is around my neck. I always have it on my person when abroad.
I always carry it when out of the country. A closing Passport wallet is convenient to hold cash of a different size, the Passport, my drivers license, and a couple of credit cards. It is a good cheap investment keeping everything together, and most room keys were credit card sized also and fit in nicely. I liked everything I used and needed frequently and safely to be in one place.
I have a pouch that hangs on my belt but goes INSIDE my jeans. Passport and major money go there.
When I travel I carry a small back pack. It's actually a gun bag, and it has a lot of internal and external pockets. I've been carrying it for years. IT has a small zipped pocket on the front, and I keep my passport in there.
There's a small pocket on the top of my laptop backpack where i keep the more important things.
I wear cargo pants with big pockets. All button down with 2 buttons. & shirt with double pockets. Also a money belt with some cash. & another around my lower leg. I keep passport in a pocket. Sometimes shirt pocket with boarding pass. I like cargo pants as changing flight to local they often cut weight you can carry by a few kilo. Then I stuff my pockets to save money. Put all back before boarding.
I keep it in my crossbody handbag. This bag is lightweight and slash proof.
- Can this bag be used as carry on? Has anyone used this bag as carry on? Can my adidasĀ® santiago v medium duffel bag be used as carry on luggage on my international flight to Haiti? Has anyone else used the bag as carry on? I feel like it ll be too long but I've never been on a flight or in an airport so I just need help. It is an American Airlines flight
- Would flying between 40k and 45k miles a year make me a frequent flyer? The past few years I have kept track of the amount of (real) miles I have flown -- I say real miles to distinguish them from airline miles, because I don't always fly with the same rewards program -- and the average is about 40 to 45k miles a year. In everyday conversations, would it make sense to consider myself a "frequent flyer," or is that only for people who fly like 100k plus every year?
- Did you bring dildo in your checked baggage when you travel internationally before? What's your story in the airport? I know this is some sort of a weird and personal question, but I'm wondering if I can bring 7 inch dildo. Lol! Please don't judge? I just wanted to know if this would cause someone to ask me to open my luggage. I'm travelling to Singapore and US
