Moving to Illinois? Good idea?
I'm a young professional who loves to travel and experience new things. I'm originally from Chicago but live in Wisconsin. I have been think about moving back for a while. I want to be located by an airport and experience city life again. I don't want to live in the inner city, but I want to work there. I'm nervous because ill be leaving my mom and siblings in Wisconsin and I will be leaving a job that I recently started in November but i'm not happy here.
Yes
A few Q's for you - do you already have a job that you can start when you move? Do you have somewhere to live? Do you have $$ to live on til you start getting paid?
those + maybe other Q's is what you should focus on
I highly suggest you MOVE to Portage, IN area and take the south shore to Chicago and work. You will pay 1/3 in rent, and the ride is only 1 hour to downtown Chicago. The seats are comfortable enough to catch some of your zzz's.
Well, seeing that more residents moved out of Illinois than into Illinois, I do not suggest that you move here.
And in the last couple of years, Chicago is the only major city to lose population.
I want to move away as well, but both my wife & I have good jobs here (and we also own a home & rental property that are not easy to sell).
- What are some good areas that are suburban like near the Newark airport in New Jersey? My boyfriend recently got a job with Port Authority, but he lives 70 miles currently from the airport, now he's looking at apartments near the place, but not directly in Newark. He basically wants something that's less that's less than a 40 mile drive, a good area. My boyfriend and me are not from Jersey, so we have no idea what's a good area.
- Why are American Low Cost airlines very good compared to European Low cost airlines? Hi. Ryanair and Easy jet suck in Europe. I was so impressed by JetBlue and South West in the US. They were just like legacy major airlines
- Is it a bad idea to take a weed cartridge into American Airlines Center a bad idea? Me and my friends are going to the Astroworld tour and we wanted to take our carts. Incase anyone doesn't know, carts are like vape pens but with weed in it. I thought of just putting it in my wallet and hoping they don't notice it but i don't know.
- What's a good carry on? I'm currently looking for a carry on for my upcoming travel. It needs to be affordable and lightweight. I have been using an old duffel bag but I'm tired of carrying it around the airport. The only problem is that I have trouble lifting things to put it in the overhead compartment, which has deferred me from purchasing a rolling carry on since I hear they often weigh more.
