Buying a ticket for someone in another country?
I was going to book through expedia to purchase a ticket for my other half to visit his family in Sydney from Perth. But I'm not going to be with him.
I have read many things. I have a credit card which is prepaid and has $1300.00 on it that is available. I have his passport info but will I have to be present or can he just arrive at the airport and board the flight?
Ok
You can purchase the ticket but isn;t perth and sydney in the same country?
Assuming you are not in Australia, it shouldn't be a problem. These days the card is not asked for. You have met and know the person you are buying the ticket for?
There's something fishy here, and I hope that your "significant other" is someone you know and have met personally. Because if you have never been with him in person there's a good chance you are somehow getting scammed.
But as for purchasing the ticket, there's no issue purchasing a ticket for someone as long as you have their information. The issue in your case is that many Pre-Paid cards have blocks on purchasing things such as Airline tickets if you do not have a "Personalized" card. It is also always a good idea to purchase the tickets from the airline directly. But if they are in Australia and you are not. If you get a ticket from a Australian airline it may be an International Purchase depending on where they process the payments, which again many Pre-Paid cards block unless you contact them in advance.
- How do I confirm my airline ticket in another country? So I'm going to Iran through Pegasus airline. In the past about 3 years ago using a different airline, I remember going to some office in iran to confirm my ticket. Does anyone know how or do I need to do this with Pegasus airline?
- But why turkish airlines didn't allow me to boarding pass? Is it ticket issue or another issue? I have family reunion visa of Brazil. Which is valid 1 years. And i bought one way ticket from turkish airlines.
- As a Canadian can I stay in a European country longer than my flight layover on the way to an Asian country? E.g. Leaving the Frankfurt airport as a stopover and staying in the city for a week before resuming the rest of the flight to Asia?
- Give someone else your plane ticket? Me and my family recently bought plane tickets to go to Florida. My dad unfortunately isn't able to go on the day that we fly out. We're flying Spirit Airlines. Is there any way that we can transfer the ticket to another one of my family members, like my sister perhaps? Please help, I would really hate for me to spend all that money on a ticket and have it go to waste.
