What were retro logo flight bags for?
I'm talking about the logo flight bags such as the Pan Am and American Airlines bags. I've come across a definition on Wikipedia saying they were for flight related manuals, documents and equipment for the pilots. However, I've also seen photos of both passengers using logoed bags from the flight they are on are carry-on luggage and all flight attendants having one as standard issue. This is in older images of early commercial jet travel.
Where would these bags have been obtained for the public who used them? Did you get one sent to your address after booking so it would be ready for the flight?
And would flight attendants have used them for their own carry-on luggage or just for airline specific equipment?

The logoed bags you're thinking of were sold or given away by the airlines, principally for advertising purposes.
Doubtless when you look up "flight bags" you'll be seeing those often used by pilots to carry their equipment, manuals etc. They're not usually logoed, they're just something the pilot has bought to carry his kit.
You're over-analyzing this. Back in the day flying was a rare activity for rich people who flaunted their richness. The airlines were happy to oblige by selling merchandise with their logo on it.
Many were gifted by airlines as promotional gifts.
- In 1947 an USA Air Force plane flew from America to Europe completely by autopilot. There were no computers at the time. How was it done? The plane took off from America, flew over the ocean, arrived in Europe and landed on a British airport completely under control of the automatic pilot. No man interfered; the autopilot took all the decisions and did everything by itself. I would have thought this impossible without a computer AI to control the plane. Anyone can explain how did that autopilot work?
- How aliens were transported from Spain to Dublin? By Aer Lingus plane and if so where do they stay during the flight? Like Kenay Airway compartment, or seated with tickets and (fake) passport? If Aer Lingus transported, then why only ground staff were arrested? Investigators initially at least 10 employees from the airline must have involved, though.

- Am I allow to pay cash for checked bags at the airport? I'm going from JFK to TPA. I'm riding JetBlue. This is my first time riding alone so I'm gonna check in one of my luggage. Am I allowed to pay cash for the checked bag, or do I have to pay credit card. By "i" I mean my aunt since I'm 15.
