Is there a way to pay for checked baggage online with American Airlines, or can it just be done at the Kiosk the day of the flight?

Added (1). Edit: I have already checked in for my flight tomorrow. Is it still possible to Check in a Bag after already checking in 24 hours before a flight.

How do I pay for my bags online before traveling?
You can choose to pay for up to 3 bags when you check in (starting 24 hours and up to 4 hours before departure) on aa.com or in the app. You'll get an email confirmation with instructions on where to drop bags at the airport.
If you are checking more than 3 bags, you can add more at the airport according to your bag allowances.

Pay for your checked bags online for travel on domestic flights within and between the US, including Hawaii and Alaska.
All bag fees are non-refundable and apply per person, each way, even if you purchase or get an upgrade that includes free checked bags. If you believe you've been incorrectly charged for bag fees, contact an American representative for help or file a refund claim within 45 days.
You should be able to do it online when you check in. Since you're still going to have to stop and get the tags at the airpprt, I like to just pay there and then. Fees are nonrefundable so if for some last minute reason you decide to take less bags, you'll lose out.
Obviously, on some airlines you must pay ahead for the best deal but American doesn't charge different fees yet
- In 1947 an USA Air Force plane flew from America to Europe completely by autopilot. There were no computers at the time. How was it done? The plane took off from America, flew over the ocean, arrived in Europe and landed on a British airport completely under control of the automatic pilot. No man interfered; the autopilot took all the decisions and did everything by itself. I would have thought this impossible without a computer AI to control the plane. Anyone can explain how did that autopilot work?
- How does checked-in baggage work with layover/multiple airlines? Will be flying to Romania. I start with Iberia Airlines and layover in Barcelona for about 2 hrs. Then I fly to Bucharest with Blue Air. Normally when flying with layovers, it's one airline so I know it's forwarded to my final destination. But this is my first itinerary where I switch airlines at my layover; would that mean my baggage is forwarded to Blue Air anyways, or do I need to pick it up and check it in a second time?
- Why do some people who book Frontier wait till they get to the airport to pay for checkin luggage when it's more than when you pay online? Like you have a small fee online. If you wait till you're at the airport it's a bigger fee. Are these people irrational?
- I'm going to London and then Paris. So I was wondering can I just do the VAT refund when I just arrive at the Paris airport (CDG)? B/c I know I'm just going to spent the most of in London and Paris its just going to be food/ cheap souvenirs. Also, for the reason that I did not account for how much time the VAT refund line may take and I already booked when my hotel car will pick me up to depart back home. Including, all the websites I checked they keep telling me that I should go do my VAT refund before I leave Europe. Therefore, it would to appreciated if I got an answer.
