On delta airlines basic flight question?
On delta airlines basic flight ik you can't pick seat and is assigned to you 24 hours after flight but can you change your seat to any available seats left after check in?
You can always ask. Probably depends on how full the flight is.
You can change within your class of service as long as a gate or check-in agent lets you do it.
You can't change it on your own. You would have to ask the gate agent and if there are seats within your ticket category, maybe
YOU CAN ASK if some other seat is available.
If you want the cheap seat price you give up some of the perks.
The seat you are assigned is generally the middle seat. If you want the window or aisle many pay the extra price to select it.
DO NOT expect to get it for free.
How would a seat be assigned after a flight?
It is assigned to you when you check in, which you can do 24 hours BEFORE your flight (not after). You can't change your seat assignment when you purchase a BASIC economy ticket. If you had a regular economy ticket then you could.
