If I printed out my boarding pass online and have no baggage to check, can I go straight to security at an airport for a domestic flight?

I'm flying United Airlines out of Newark International Airport tomorrow. I only have one carry-on bag and a purse so I don't need to check any luggage. I printed my boarding pass online today, so I'm assuming all I have to do is find my terminal and go straight through security? Is this correct? I haven't flown in years, and I'm flying by myself tomorrow so I'm a little nervous to navigate the airport. Thanks everyone!

Added (1). Also this is a silly question, but can I bring granola bars onto the plane to snack on if they're closed/sealed?

Get your ticker than go straight through security than find your gate

Yes. You can head straight to the security checkpoint.
And yes, you can bring granola bars.

Yes. You have already checked in online and have your boarding pass, you have no bags to hand over, therefore there's nothing left for you to do at check-in. Therefore you are free to bypass it completely and go straight through security.

If you're flying within the USA, there's no problem about any food. If you're going to another country, their only concern is that they don't want you importing any strange foreign bugs that aren't native to the country and could do damage to their ecosystem. So Customs at the other end will be interested in any raw food, but anything already cooked and in a sealed package (like granola bars) is guaranteed bug-free and isn't a problem. It's not a silly question!

Have a good trip.

You can bring granola bars onto a plane regardless of whether they're packaged or not.
Because they are not LIQUID, d'you see?

Yes, you can go straight to security in this case.

Granola bars are fine, sealed up or not. Solid food is not restricted - only liquids (or liquid/gel type foods, like pudding, yogurt, and applesauce).

You are correct. If you have your boarding pass and no luggage to check, then there's no reason at all to go to the ticket counter.

Just go directly to the security check point.

EDIT: Yes, you can bring granola bars. It makes no difference to the security people or the airline if hey are sealed or not. They are NOT a weapon or any kind of danger.

I have many time brought snacks of various sorts just in plastic bags. No one cares.

YES and YES.
Enjoy your flight
As granola bars can be dry suggest you get some beverage after you pass security to have with your bar.

Keep your food things contained and clean up your crumbs. Take few extra and it can be a conversation starter with your seat mate. Or for the person that greets you on arrival.
