I need help moving pets?

I'm moving from California to Arizona and I would like to take my fish but I'm worried how I'm going to get him through airport security or if it's even allowed at all

It is not recommended to move live fish long distance. Bacterial growth, stress, temperature control all can kill the fish.
You can't take fish in water through security. You either give the fish away, sell them, or have to arrange special ground transport.

You can't take them through security at an airport. You could try driving.

The fish isn't going with you through the airport.

You would have to find some other method to send it. Many carriers such as UPS will accept fish for shipment, however they must be packed in accordance with government regulations. So if this is a something like a common fish you see in your standard household aquarium you may end up spending $50-$100+ to ship a $2.99 fish.

I would highly suggest looking at giving it away, many pet stores will take fish. You could also look at your local schools or day care centers to see if they will take it. You can then still ship your aquarium and start with a new fish when you arrive at your new location.
