Too many variables for us to help you. Check any or all of the aggregators - they carry most, but not all, of the airlines. Then check what you find at the official site of that airline.

Newark sometimes is a bit expensive because it is a hub for United Airlines. If you are willing to fly out of JFK, Jetblue has flights from there. Delta also flies from JFK so with some competition, ticket prices may be a bit lower. But know that flying to Florida may be a bit more expensive in the winter months so start looking now.

The cheapest flights between New York and Jacksonville are available at Delta and Jetblue, both from JFK.

From Newark, United is the cheapest one, but still sometimes a bit more expensive than Delta and Jetblue

A cheap 3-day roundtrip from JFK: $183 currently (for most days of January 2018)
A cheap 3-day roundtrip from Newark: $183 to 195 currently (a few days at $218 or more).

From Newark to Jacksonville the cheapest is $ 315 JetBlue airway then Delta $328, then multiple airline and american airline $362, then united is $383 the sliver is $551.

  • What are some good areas that are suburban like near the Newark airport in New Jersey? My boyfriend recently got a job with Port Authority, but he lives 70 miles currently from the airport, now he's looking at apartments near the place, but not directly in Newark. He basically wants something that's less that's less than a 40 mile drive, a good area. My boyfriend and me are not from Jersey, so we have no idea what's a good area.
  • How do ex Presidents fly around? How do ex Presidents e.g. Presidents Clinton, Obama etc., get around. Does the US Air Force fly them around or do they travel by commercial airlines or private jet? Thanks for the "sensible" answers. @Pilsner Man what is the significance of "buckwheat" or am I just thick. Not from US.
  • Is getting around Narita Airport easy? So I'm going to Japan for 10 days in September and I will be landing at Narita Airport. I'm a little nervous I may not find my gate or check in counter. Is it easy to find my gate and is there people there that will direct me to my proper gate at the airport when I go back home to New York since it's a big airport and do most people there speak English?
  • Is becoming a regional airline pilot one of the few great jobs that you can have without a college degree? Many regional airlines don't require college degrees. Is becoming an E-170 or CRJ700 captain much better than working as a bus driver or a carpenter? You think sleeping at Motel 6s or Motel 8s and drinking that free coffee is bad? It would be a very nice treat for bus drivers or people with other jobs that they could find with no degree. I would be honored to sleep at Motel 6 or Motel 8 for free. At least it is much better than hostel or Airbnb.
