Why does British Airways have such bad service?

I have to travel for my work and I have flown British Airways a few times and always encountered rude flight attendants. I asked a male flight attendant for a pen to fill out an immigration form, he refused and gave me a nasty state. Their food is bad, and the flight attendants just don't care.

I'm not the only one. Some of my work colleagues have also had issues with British Airways. And I've read a lot of online negative reviews about the company.

It could always be worse. British Airways could serve haggis as an in-flight meal on all flights.

I have crossed the Atlantic on British Air may times. The food is always good, drinks are great (nerve medicine- like gin and tonic on the rocks with a twist) and the personnel are great. Maybe because I have a good attitude toward them and respect their work.
You need to be exposed to Delta, American and United. AWFUL!

I don't think your experience is representative of the majority. I have never had bad service on a BA flight, the food is generally very good, although I'm not a fan of the buy on board proposition. Staff are generally dedicated to providing a geek service.

I stopped flying BA about 15 years ago after a string of flights with bored service and uncomfortable seats. Since then I've flown Emirates, Singapore and various other lines and ALL have been head and shoulders above BA.
