I have 1 hour and 20 min layover. Is it enough time?

I will fly via qatar airways. Some people say that i will miss the flight, because 1 hour is too little time. Is it true? There's not an offer with longer layovers…

Don't feckabout too much and you'll be fine.

It should be sufficient, but we can't truly answer because we do not know the airport at which this layover occurs. Some places are easier to get around, some a lot harder.

Very much depends on the arrival/departure airport, some are huge, and could mean changing terminals, domestic to international etc. Flights close around 15 mins before departure, so realistically you have an hour from landing to reaching the gate, and delays etc. And you'll not make it. Personally a night stop maybe required.

You have 1 hr. And 20 min., I'd be happy to even have 20 minutes a lot of times. Under normal conditions that is plenty of time.

It's not worth worrying about it because as you said, there weren't any other options.
If it happens, deal with it then.
unless you personally do something that affects you're ability to make the connection like get an hour long spa treatment at the airport or get drunk, it's up to the fate of your airline.

Where are you connecting. If you are connecting at a US airport, then that may be a problem because you have to go through customs and immigration and then pick-up your luggage and then re-check them for your domestic flight. You want a minimum of 2 hours to connect. However if you are connecting in Qatar, then you should have enough time.

You can do this. There should be a security check designated for those with short connections times.

So much depends on what sort of flights and which airport. But to be safe, check with the airlines you will be flying with on both sectors.

If you are flying out of the same terminal building that you are flying in to then you won't have to exit security and re-enter again. So if your plane isn't late then you just have to go from one gate to the other. I travel with only a carry-on so I can just go without having to wait for my luggage. You should look and see if you can do the same. Rick Steves (a tour guide owner) has YouTube videos on how to travel with just carry-on since that's the only way you are allowed on his tours

Eys enough

  • Long enough layover? I have 45 minutes to get from Terminal A to Terminal D at DFW Airport. Does anyone know how long it normally takes to get from one end to the other?
  • London 8:30 hour layover? In a few days i will have a 8:30 hour layover in london where i need to change airports. I arrive at Heathrow Airport at 7:40 and leave Stansted airport at 16:15. We want to visit one waterstones and have lunch at an Honest burgers. Is this possible? How can we do this in terms of public transportation? Is there another restaurant that is not super expensive that serves the impossible burger? (We want to try impossible/beyond burger)
  • Do I have the right to change flights when the airline have changed the time? I booked flights for the summer and my return flight has changed time, and is now earlier. There's a stop over, which would now be a very long wait due to the first flight being earlier. Will I be allowed to change the second flight to a earlier one, so I don't have to wait so long? Also who do I change this with if I do, the company I bought the tickets from or the airline itself?
