S it harmful to pass your dog under airport x-ray machine?
I'm going in a vacation with my dog, in my country they put live animals under x ray machines like baggages! I was wondering how harmful is that for my dog.
Well if humans don't get cancer by getting xrays, why do you think it will be harmful to the dog?
Only if he has a pacemaker.
No more harm than it does you. You get X-rayed too, just in a different way.
Probably less harmful than the actual flight. Because planes travel through the upper atmosphere, you actually get a small dose of xrays from the natural radiation of the sun, which is less filtered the higher up you go. Depending on the duration of the flight, both you and your dog will absorb more xrays during the flight than from the screening machines.
Unlikely but you might mention this to your vet if you are worried?

- Bringing a CPAP machine through security at Frankfurt Airport? My wife and I are going to Germany later this year. She has to use a CPAP machine. We've never had any trouble flying domestically with it here in the US Is there anything special to do with it when going through security in Frankfurt for our flight back to the US or should it be as easy as it is here in the States? We're on Delta Airlines, if that matters at all.
