With Southwest Airlines would I be able to transfer my frequent flyer miles to a friend?

Only if your friend is also in their frequent flyer program, as far as I can tell from reading about it on Southwest's website

Yes. There's however a fee of $10 per 1,000 points with a minimum of 2,000 points per transfer.
To avoid the fee, you might consider buying their ticket with your miles

  • Would flying between 40k and 45k miles a year make me a frequent flyer? The past few years I have kept track of the amount of (real) miles I have flown -- I say real miles to distinguish them from airline miles, because I don't always fly with the same rewards program -- and the average is about 40 to 45k miles a year. In everyday conversations, would it make sense to consider myself a "frequent flyer," or is that only for people who fly like 100k plus every year?
  • Hawaiian airlines miles? Where are the best deals to flight from Honolulu? I use to flight to Tokyo or Osaka for 35,000 miles but now prices are way higher. Does anyone know a nice deal going on right now to Japan or Mainland?
  • Will I be able to bring nicotine gum through security at the airport? I'm 17 and I constantly am having nicotine. I going on a trip to Seattle and i was wondering if i can get through security with nicotine gum. I'm traveling with my sister in law and i don't want her to know i use nicotine. I'm planning on just putting the nicotine gum into a normal gum container so it doesn't look suspicious. Will tsa question this or will i get in trouble with it?
  • First time flyer tips? In a couple months, I'll be taking a 5 hour flight to MA, but I've never ever been on a plane. I've never even been in an airport. I'm trying to get as much information as possible so that I don't humiliate myself and/or do something just plain stupid. Any tipa would be greatly appreciated!
