Will I be able to bring nicotine gum through security at the airport?

I'm 17 and I constantly am having nicotine. I going on a trip to Seattle and i was wondering if i can get through security with nicotine gum. I'm traveling with my sister in law and i don't want her to know i use nicotine. I'm planning on just putting the nicotine gum into a normal gum container so it doesn't look suspicious. Will tsa question this or will i get in trouble with it?

No problem.

Geez - No one, and I mean NO ONE, cares about gum.
The more you try to hide something, the more suspicious it will look.

The TSA is a federal agency and <<does not>> enforce smoking laws, which are state rules.

Don't worry for a second about this.

Don't disguise it--that looks suspicious. And no one cares about nicotine gum. Take it as it is.

The only thing you need to worry about is why you have this habit? Nicotine gum is to help smokers withdrawal from smoking, not to use a recreational substance, eventually it will damage you and possible outcomes could be as bad as mouth cancer.

You have selected the best answer but I will answer anyways and in support of Roger K.'s answer.

Yes you can bring this aboard in either carry-on or checked baggage. It is considered gum. See link.

Regarding the nicotine component, the TSA is not involved with age-related enforcement. The mission is to keep explosives and weapons off commercial aircraft. So you can put your concerns to rest.
