As a commercial airline pilot, is it OK to have just one drink before I fly?

Just to help calm my nerves?

No

No. Nothing. No drink or drugs. They also do random drug tests.

Sureā€¦ You can have a drink before you fly: twelve hours before you fly.

Troll beyotch. Why would anyone answer this KRAP?

Poor attempt at trolling. Any commercial pilot knows there's a zero alcohol rule.

Do not feed the trolls.

  • What is the best path to becoming a commercial airline pilot? I have heard going into the Navy or Naval Officer Academy is a great way, but i'm still not sure.
  • I'm going to London and then Paris. So I was wondering can I just do the VAT refund when I just arrive at the Paris airport (CDG)? B/c I know I'm just going to spent the most of in London and Paris its just going to be food/ cheap souvenirs. Also, for the reason that I did not account for how much time the VAT refund line may take and I already booked when my hotel car will pick me up to depart back home. Including, all the websites I checked they keep telling me that I should go do my VAT refund before I leave Europe. Therefore, it would to appreciated if I got an answer.
  • Can I be a commercial airline pilot if I take Prozac for ocd? I've recently decided to go down the path of becoming a commercial airline pilot, but I just wanted to know if I would be medically cleared by the faa if I take Prozac for ocd. My OCD has never been debilitating I've worked as a firefighter for about a year and have come across some very stressful situations but I've always kept my cool. I know that I should really ask a physician this but I was just wondering if anyone could give me any kind of answer, much appreciated.
  • Is becoming a regional airline pilot one of the few great jobs that you can have without a college degree? Many regional airlines don't require college degrees. Is becoming an E-170 or CRJ700 captain much better than working as a bus driver or a carpenter? You think sleeping at Motel 6s or Motel 8s and drinking that free coffee is bad? It would be a very nice treat for bus drivers or people with other jobs that they could find with no degree. I would be honored to sleep at Motel 6 or Motel 8 for free. At least it is much better than hostel or Airbnb.
