Travelling abroad with antidepressants?

I'm flying within Europe, it's the first time i'll be travelling with some form of medication.
Is there anything Airport security require me to declare or anything I should know when flying with medication.

Check if the drugs are permitted in your destination country.

Keep the drugs in their original bottles/packets. Take a copy of your prescription.

If it's prescription medication, you have no worries.

Depending on where you go, some drugs might be illegal whether you have a prescription. You need to check the drug laws of the countries you will be going to.

Airport security, no. Customs when you arrive may want to see the medication in the original container with the prescription information.

Check with your local airports website to see a list of approved travel items. Medications are generally required to be in original packaging to my knowledge and have your name on them to be safe.

You check with your Doctor and follow his/her advise on if you should take them before your flight.

Airport security and Airline staff are not the Pill police.
Being impaired in someway from your medication the Airline staff can deny you boarding.

You'll need to double check with the countries you are flying into with your medication. If the medication is illegal to possess in the country you are visiting, you are probably not allowed to bring it into the country… Even though the medication is legal in your own country.
Anti-depressants are probably not going to create a problem, but it's definitely worth checking out just to make sure.

Airport security won't care a bit about your medication. Customs, when you enter a country, might care. When traveling abroad, it's a good idea to have your medication in its original and labeled prescription container, just to be safe. You won't likely have any trouble.

I put mine in with my diabetic meds and thyroid meds is suitcase beside painkillers and allergy pills.
