I have a flight with Delta Airlines it has a 30 min layover. Will it be the same plane? Any tips?
It says the same gate and terminal and its only 30 min. Any help?
Help regarding what?
Any break in a flight is a connection. If the flight number is the same on the next leg of the trip after the stop, you will probably be staying on the plane. It may or may not let passengers off or take new passengers on. If you will be getting off the plane, you will not be getting back on the same plane within 30 minutes, you will be getting on a different plane. A 30 minute layover with a change of planes is unusual, because 30 minutes is often not enough time to make the connecting flight in large airports with more than one terminal.
You will not have to get off the plane
Will it be the same plane?
MAYBE
There are thousands of flights. If you want help with a SPECIFIC routing ask about that particular one. It could be same plane and you just wait while others get on or off or it can involve a change in plane.
If flight number is same for both parts USUALLY means same plane.
Any tips? If you want a detailed answer then give detailed info in the question.
Suggest you ASK when checking in at the start of your day, They gate staff can tell you what happens at next stop. And then you plan for your 30 stop.
DO NOT expect to have time to wander the Airport for a few minutes.
It will be no different to a bus, you will stay seated while those who only booked that far get off and new passengers get on.
Only 30 minutes and the same gate - my guess is you won't even be getting off. It'll just be parking there while people get off and on. If you actually have to change planes, it'll be at least an hour to allow time to get to another gate.
Are you ready?
Why do you need to know?
You can be sure that when you land, the flight crew will TELL you if you should 1, stay where you are, or 2, get off and board another plane, or 3, get off and wait for 15 minutes while the plane is cleaned then get back on again.
All those scenarios are possible.
If you really HAVE TO know (though I can't imagine why), ask the airline, not us.
It can be
If it's the same gate, then it's clearly the same plane. They can't get one plane unloaded and out of the gate and another one in within 30 min. So it's probably that you won't even get off the plane.
- Booking trip with two different airlines vs same airline? Any differences? One over the other? I'm deciding on which flight i should take to Honolulu. The cheaper flights seem to have two different airlines. For example, flight to LA on American airlines, then from LA to Honolulu with Alaska. Compared to sticking with one airline. Any bad experiences with having two separate airlines? Is it safer to stay with one airline as in luggage safety?
- Is it safe for two planes to take off at the same time at the same airport? I was wondering because I was flying out of Guangzhou airport in China and I saw another plane on another runway take off almost at the same time we did (he was headed away from us though)
- Connection flight any where .will i be given free hotel rooms by the airlines or do we have to pay for it.because it a very long gap? Connection flight any where. Will i be given free hotel rooms by the airlines or do we have to pay for it. Because it a very long gap?
- I did an interview for Delta airlines and in the video interview I accidentally said American Airlines? Has anyone else had this problem? I caught it very quickly and said delta immediately and kept saying delta in the other answers. Do you think it can cost me the next step of the process?
