How long can you stay at an airport for after you Land?
So I'm heading to Los Angeles (LAX) and I land at 11Am but I can't check into my Airbnb until 3pm. I can just sit at the airport for like a hour or two just to kill some time before I need to check in? Or is that a security threat?
Yes.
Yes
No
Don't call attention to yourself, and nobody will notice or care.
It's probably better to stay on the "air side" of the TSA checkpoint.
No problem.
I had a similar problem this spring, had to be out of hotel by 11, flight at 3 Long Beach. Uber dropped me off at 11:15, and I just sat and read a book.
No problem. The problem is that after you exit the arrivals, there isn't much to do. You'd do better to go to your Air b&b.Ask if you can leave your luggage and go do something. Depending on whether the AirB&B is in someone's home or a standalone, they may be very acccommodating.
You can stay as long as you like, as long as it isn't obvious that you're living at the airport. I've stayed in airports all night waiting for my flight, since it's almost impossible to get to or from a long-haul flight to where I live without being away from home overnight. Makes no sense to pay $200 for a hotel I'd be in for less than 8 hours. Many people have done the same.
- As a Canadian can I stay in a European country longer than my flight layover on the way to an Asian country? E.g. Leaving the Frankfurt airport as a stopover and staying in the city for a week before resuming the rest of the flight to Asia?
- How do i figure out if a large plane can land at a certain airport? I'm making a game and it involves airplanes among other vehicles being stationed in cities, now each city may have an airport, but I need to know if there's any way to figure out if a plane as large as a 747 or an antanov an-225 can land at one, is there an airport class size? Runway length? How does that work? I need to figure this out for about 600+ cities airports so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
- How long do airline pilots stay in one place? How long do airline pilots get to stay in one place? And are there laws stating that if a pilot flys over X hours they have to not fly again for Y amount of time?
- Is it common for airline pilots to miss the airport and have to make a U-turn to land? I was wondering because it was my first time flying and the pilot flew over the airport at first, made a U-turn, and then landed on the runway on the way back. Is this common for pilots to miss their airport on the first go?
