What is the airline Alitalia like these days?
I'm flying to England from South Africa at the end of November and my two options for flying are Turkishair and Alitalia. I know Turkishair are very good but I know Rome very well and love the city so I would much prefer to spend the day there but I know they have a bad reputation in terms of flight service and nearly went bankrupt a few months ago. Does anybody know what they re like these days?
The airline is ranked 75th of the top 100 airlines in the world. Most of the US carriers rank higher which is pretty bad. However, for economy travel, the main differences between airlines are which ones offer seatback tv's.
If price isn't the deciding factor, I'd take the Turkish airlines flight
Alitalia has been going bankrupt for years, and their planes are like sardine cans with wings .Their food service is mediocre at best,
But they are safe, and you can bear being in a too-small seat for 8 hours, I'd use Alitalia
Why only Turkish and Alitalia? Plenty of choice from SA to UK, including a number of direct routes.
- Will Alitalia really go out of business within a year? Their service was horrible and the plane was so old and the seats had cracks and holes. I think the entire airline and its employee should leave
- How soon will the Airports start using these electronic powered airplanes. This will greatly reduce the air polution from Gas powered planes? https://www.google.com/...-show/amp/
- What will commercial planes look like in near future like 2 years from now? Will hybrid airliner be mainstream widespread in our lifetime will hybrid airplanes mean the end of boeing 737 and Airbus a320 production will airlines stop buying fuel efficient planes like boeing 737 max airbus a320neo
- Why Alitalia is a bad airline? Besides the fact that they have very old aircrafts and their service is bad and their website/app is always buggy
