I would ask your airline about it
The over all standard is 22" long x 14" wide and 9" deep. If you get a bag on those standards or slight smaller, you'll be fine. Just be sure not to over stuff it
The smallest one. It will fit all airlines
I would follow up the airline you use the most.
Either go by the smallest allowed dimensions, or the allowed dimensions of the airline you use the most.
Most airlines are around 22x14x9 for carry-on bags, but there's certainly some variation. The discount carriers are especially likely to measure so be very careful if you typically use them (Allegiant, Spirit, Frontier, etc).
Buy a 22x14x9 bag
most shop assistants know the common
size allowed in the cabin
No airline has ever actually measured my carry-on bag. It just has to fit in the overhead storage compartment.
It has been decades since a major airline weighed my carry-on bag.
Assuming you use a range of airlines, isn't it common sense to buy the size that's approved on the cheapest airlines, ie the smallest size?
The smallest one
- Booking trip with two different airlines vs same airline? Any differences? One over the other? I'm deciding on which flight i should take to Honolulu. The cheaper flights seem to have two different airlines. For example, flight to LA on American airlines, then from LA to Honolulu with Alaska. Compared to sticking with one airline. Any bad experiences with having two separate airlines? Is it safer to stay with one airline as in luggage safety?
- Can this bag be used as carry on? Has anyone used this bag as carry on? Can my adidasĀ® santiago v medium duffel bag be used as carry on luggage on my international flight to Haiti? Has anyone else used the bag as carry on? I feel like it ll be too long but I've never been on a flight or in an airport so I just need help. It is an American Airlines flight
- How do I find dimensions that match the exact airline I'm traveling? I'm planning this europe trip to a bunch of places. During the trip, I use 3 different airlines. Of all of them, i calculated the smallest maximum luggage requirement for a carry on and a personal item. 21 x 15 x 7.8 15 x 11 x 3.9 Maybe i'm looking incorrectly, but for the life of me I can't find baggage online that has the requirements I need. Any advice on where to look, how to look, would be deeply appreciated.
- Is it safe for two planes to take off at the same time at the same airport? I was wondering because I was flying out of Guangzhou airport in China and I saw another plane on another runway take off almost at the same time we did (he was headed away from us though)
