When you first get to the airport to check in, do you ask them for a round way trip to wherever destination you're flying to then back?
When you first get to the airport to check in, do you ask them for a round way trip to wherever destination you're flying to then back?
Dunno
When you purchase your ticket that is when you buy a one-way or a return ticket. You don't say anything when you check in, unless you're asked.
You buy the ticket on a computer, through a travel agent, or by calling the airline. If you are checking in, that means that you already have either a one way or round trip ticket.
Essentially, all checking in is is telling the airline that you are there for the flight you already paid for, giving them your bags, and getting a boarding pass.
No. You've already bought the tickets, so why would you ask them that? Check-in just announces to the airline that you've turned up and it's where you hand over bags to go in the hold.
You check in for a one way flight regardless.
You need to purchase a round-trip ticket when you book. You go to the airport to check in when it's actually the day of your flight. If you have to add on a return ticket at that point, it's likely going to be very expensive.
Very few people actually BUY their ticket at the airport just as they're leaving. Almost everyone books their trip, whether one-way or return, before the day of travel.
You would already have purchased your ticket, so at check in you'll be just asking for a boarding pass, but normally you'll be asked where your flying to and if there are multiple flights, what time your departure is scheduled. Then once you have you boarding pass, you head for security and to your departure gate. You do the same on your return flight.
You should already have your ticket in hand
Either bought online or from a travel agent
When I go to the airport I go straight to the counter, check in my luggage and get my boarding pass (seats pre selected), I then request a wheelchair for my wife, we then proceed through security and get a drink before we board
The ONLY time it makes any difference that one is making a round trip is when you're flying somewhere and returning the same day. (Not uncommon for business travel, though it is for leisure travel.) In that case, it makes sense to point it out so you're can collect you return boarding pass at the same time.
- How much should a decent round trip airline ticket cost? A round trip airline ticket from Columbus, Ohio to Orlando, Florida, flying coach or economy? I don't fly enough to know a genuinely good price from a "too good to be true" or too expensive. Trying to decide whether it's worth it to just drive.
- If companies stopped making supersonic planes like the concorde because it was too noisy expensive why are they bringing them back? Companies like nasa lockheed martin are working on supersonic air travel And colorado company boom is developing a 55 seater plane So if companies are working on supersonic travel does that mean airlines will have to cancel their boeing 787 dreamliner or airbus A350 orders or any widebody orders due to supersonic travel
- What's the exact meaning of flying in? Does it mean hopping on a plane or arriving at your destination? I recently got asked by one of my friends when I'm flying in. Then I just wondered if he meant by when i'm arriving at the airport or hopping on the plane. any help is appreciated.
- I noticed a complete round trip airline ticket is cheaper than one way? I see one way tickets for $300 while round trips are $225. I'm not certain when I'd return, so would there be some kind of penalty for buying the cheaper round top ticket. Then after I fly there, cancel my return trip. And just by a ticket when I decide to return?
