If you have to change planes from one incoming international flight to another outgoing one, which London airport is usually best?
Added (1). We have not booked the flights yet, so we can chose where to have to change planes. I know in some countries the "major" airport in a city or the major city even is not always the best choice.

This is most likely to be Heathrow, as it's the biggest. However, as it's big, allow plenty of time between flights especially if you're going to have to change terminals. If you can manage to do it at Gatwick, it may be a nicer experience.
