Has anyone gotten a connected flight, far from home, but it connected to an airport near your homw?
Has anyone gotten a cheap flight, thats kinda far from your home, but it connects to a airport near your home? My question is, I want to get a flight that the airport is about 3 hours away. But it's cheaper than the airport near my home., But it connects to the airport near my home, so instead of driving 3 hours I would drive 40 minutes and get on the plane there, is that able to work? Or no? Lol
If you are answering if you can book a flight with connections but only get on the second flight, the answer is no. If you don't get on the first flight, your entire reservation will be cancelled.
That sucks. But thank you!
It sounds like something the airlines have covered in their own favor so that lots of people don't take that shortcut to save money.
No, you can't do that. On the way home, however, if it stops in your city before going to the final destination, you can get off there if you only have carry on luggage.
No, it doesn't work. If you miss the first flight from the further airport, the rest of your itinerary will be cancelled. They do this to prevent people from gaming the fares
No, if you miss your first flight then all other flights on your itinerary will be canceled.
You are talking about "Hidden City" ticketing and airlines do not allow this. Once you fail to board the first flight the rest of your itinerary(including your return ticket) is cancelled without refund.
In your example the only way you could do this is on the return trip, when you transfer at your airport you just fail to get on the last leg taking you to the airport 3 hours away. You of course would not get a refund on that portion, but since it is the last leg you don't have to worry about anything getting cancelled. Oh, but if you do this you also can't check any bags, as any bags you check will end up at the destination airport 3 hours away.
If you miss the first leg of your journey the entire ticket is cancelled
Too bad feel sorry
No
- Can this bag be used as carry on? Has anyone used this bag as carry on? Can my adidasĀ® santiago v medium duffel bag be used as carry on luggage on my international flight to Haiti? Has anyone else used the bag as carry on? I feel like it ll be too long but I've never been on a flight or in an airport so I just need help. It is an American Airlines flight
- I'm travelling with a 7mo baby on a overseas flight (BA). Anyone who has done it before could you give advise over what went right and wrong? What are the packing items I need to bring with me. Taking in consideration that the airline allows a bag for the baby but with size and weigh restrictions, and bearing in mind that it is a over 12 hrs flight
- I did an interview for Delta airlines and in the video interview I accidentally said American Airlines? Has anyone else had this problem? I caught it very quickly and said delta immediately and kept saying delta in the other answers. Do you think it can cost me the next step of the process?
- Plane ticket has first, middle and last name but my passport only has first and last name? I'm flying Scandinavian Airlines and my plane ticket has my first, middle, and last name but my passport only has my first and last name. Does anyone have any experience with this or think it will be an issue? I called the travel agency and they told me they could not do anything to correct the middle name. I was also thinking about bringing another form of ID like a birth certificate or social security card to be safe.
