My first time ever flying on a plane is next month and I'm confused?

I have severe anxiety and I'm just hoping I don't feel overwhelmed trying to find my terminal. Is it fairly easy to find? Who could I ask for assistance so I don't end up missing my plane? I'm flying with Alaska airlines

You should take pills like Dilaudid or Quaalude to help you during the flight

Get to the airport early so you have plenty of time and don't panic about missing your flight.
I fly out of O'Hare airport which is very busy and huge. Everything is clearly marked. You can ask any airport employee to help you. I have even asked a janitor for directions.
They should have screens with flights numbers and gate numbers in several places. Terminals are clearly marked.

You should be able to pull up a map of the airports you are flying out of and into.

I always get to the airport early, once I get through security and find my gate I sit and relax. Grab a snack and read until I board the plane.

Go online and look at your airport's Map and locate the Alaska terminal and familiar yourself with How to get there.

If you look at the airport map online, you can see which terminal your airline uses. Also, when you are arriving at the airport, there are signs indicating which airlines use which terminals as well.

Airports are some of the hardest places to get lost. Give yourself plenty of time so that you don't feel extra anxious, but you shouldn't have any trouble. There are plenty of signs indicating where to go, and plenty of people who you can ask.

Why are you 'confused' NOW?
You are not 'confused'; you just don't know exactly what to do, and are naturally a bit nervous. That is not the same as 'confused'.

It appears you can read. If you can read, you will have no difficulty in any major airport in the world.

First of all, don't stress out too much. The more stressed you are, the more likely you will be to miss your flight. Have confidence in yourself. Millions of oeople fly a day, if they can do it, so can you! The first thing you need to find out is when your flight is set to board (this is different from the takeoff time). Once you find this information then you should arrive at the airport 2 hours ahead of time. Check any luggage that is too big to be a carry on, go through security and then arrive at your gate. Don't be afraid to ask employees for help.

  • How do you aboard a plane for first time flyers? This will be my first time flying so please I don't need any rude comments. I'm flying to another state and after to another country. I'm not sure how it all works or the steps to take in order to aboard the plane. When you check in online how do you get your boarding ticket? After you go through tsa on your first flight do you have to go again? What are the steps to take when you get to the airport?
  • I'm taking my first flight ever and it's with Alaska airlines. I don't have a suitcase, so I'm bringing a large duffel bag. Is this okay? I would rather not be charged extra! The bag is a little longer than a normal suitcase but a lot thinner
  • Plane ticket has first, middle and last name but my passport only has first and last name? I'm flying Scandinavian Airlines and my plane ticket has my first, middle, and last name but my passport only has my first and last name. Does anyone have any experience with this or think it will be an issue? I called the travel agency and they told me they could not do anything to correct the middle name. I was also thinking about bringing another form of ID like a birth certificate or social security card to be safe.
  • First time flying with stops? So is Christmas season and I'm traveling from the US to Mexico for the holidays, I have already flying from point A to point B but I never have from point A to point B and C ( or city stops) so I'm nervous. How early have to be on the airport? Is one hour enough to switch from one plane to other? How long can it take on immigration and still have to take the second plane?
