What are the chances of an Airline pilot being high on weed while on duty?
Zero
Hopefully not too likely
Probably lower than them being drunk.

NOT MUCH. They have too much invested in themselves to take a chance of losing it all.
None. They get drug tested.
I believe there are three person minimum in the cockpit. I do not think one weeds in front of the two.
Now that recreational weed is "legal" in several states, I'd say it's more likely than it used to be… BUT it's STILL ILLEGAL in any US federally regulated business or industry, and pilots are STILL subject to random testing for drugs at ANY time. MOST commercial pilots are smart enough to understand that they have invested a lot of time and money in their careers, and one failed drug test can put an end to all that in a very short time. Still… You hear stories of pilots showing up for duty, drunk on alcohol, so it's just a matter of time before some IDIOT Sky God decides he's above the laws, and shows up for work high on weed or other prohibited drugs. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it's already happened.
Slim. Airline pilots are not dumb people and they know they are subject to tests and WILL lose their job if intoxicated.
Not too likely. Cannabis stays in your system for some period of time, and we're subject to random drug tests at ANY time. He isn't likely to try it more than once. The odds of being caught are too high. The tests are too sensitive.
- I'm currently a sophomore in high school and I'm thinking of becoming a pilot? I want to become a pilot for an airline or something similar and I was wondering what colleges/universities are best for that career. Since I've recently decided on it, i don't know much about planes or anything that has to do with being a pilot. What are some things I could do to learn more about it and what are some requirements to be a pilot
- Must I change terminals or do anything else while traveling the same airline the whole journey? I plan on taking an exclusively Delta flight from Birmingham Shuttlesworth to Bangor international and I'm worried about having to change terminals or go through security again when i stop for my layovers in Atlanta and JFK International, or if i can keep layovers shorter by being able to remain in the same terminal through the whole journey. Thank you for your time and help, and have a great day!
- I missed my flight, the airline is being difficult, can anyone So the airline is saying that I had enough time to catch my connecting flight, how ever my luggage is still at the airport. Wouldn't it have been transferred to the connecting flight if I had enough time?
- Can I become an airline pilot for a major airline if I go to college for a computer science degree (Bachelors Degree)? And also why is their so much debt in order to be a airline pilot? Is it because of people choosing the "go to college for aviation" sort of route?
