Do I need a transit visa for Qatar?
On my flight I will arrive at Hamad Airport in Qatar. My laover is 1 hour and 20 min. Will I need a transit visa? I read on wikipedia that only travellers travelling on Qatar Airways, with layovers between 5 and 96 hours are eligible. My laover is 1 hour and 20 min. On my returning flight i have a 7 hour layover at the same airport. Do i need to obtain a transit visa for my departing flight?
Added (1). @tellitlikeitis yeah, but here is a new update on 26 september 2016 and it says: 'On 26 September 2016, the Ministry of the Interior announced the issuance of free transit visas for passengers of any nationality transiting through Hamad International Airport. Only travellers travelling on Qatar Airways, with layovers between 5 and 96 hours are eligible'
Added (2). my country is eligible for visa waiver upon arrival valid for 30 days.
You will have to consult your home country's official government website that gives travel advice. For example here in Britain it is the Home Office website. Don't believe anything you read on wikipedia, anyone can amend its content.
There might have been a time, when this forum was more serious, when you could get an answer you could trust, but is it not foolish to ask the question here, when your whole journey could be jeopardised by relying on an answer from some 16 year old who is just guessing.

- Do I need a visa when traveling to Beijing? I have an 11 hour layover in Beijing while traveling to southeast Asia and I was wondering if I needed a visa in order to just leave the airport for a few hours to get some food/walk around a bit. Any info would be helpful!

- Qatar airlines new hand carry rule? So i know this may sound stupid but i need to know. I have a flight today at 4 pm and it says qatar airlines only accept one hand carry bag i have 2 one bak pak and one trolly bag the troly bag weighs at 7 kg and the bak pak weighs at less than 6 will they acknowledge my bak pak as a personal item or do i have to put this as a baggage?
