I need an app to find my way around airports?
Hi I'm flying from New Zealand to Germany and will be stopping in another country as well, I'm really bad with finding my way through airports and I don't like asking people constantly where to go is there some kind of app that can just show me the way through to my gate.
There are Electronic Signs in the Airport that show you the Gate number and signs directing you in the right direction. All you have to do is be able to read and know your flight numbers.
Why are you asking people? All you have to do is read the signs that guide you to concourse A, B, C, etc., and then read the numbers on the gates.
There's no single app, large international airports do sometimes have an app, although they won't necessarily have a way finder. Airports are very well signed, so it really is difficult to get lost unless you stray from the normal concourse areas.
Your stop over airport could be in Asia, either Hong Kong or Singapore, or possible in the USA, Los Angeles or San Francisco, these are all airports that are large, but it would be easy o follow signage, or ask an airport employee the best way to go.
You don't need an App, and in fact an App would probably be a lot more confusing than just looking at the signs.
Airports are perhaps the best signed locations in the World. The signs will be in at least the countries native language and English. Very often there will also be signs in 3-4 additional languages.
As long as you know your next gate, which you can get on your Boarding Pass or from the Terminal Information screens. You will be able to get their quite easily. If you MUST have some sort of map then I would go online before you travel and print out the map before you go.
You DO NOT NEED AN APP. People found their way around Airports for DECADES before the APP was invented.
Suggest you just say which mystery country you are changing planes at. Procedures are not identical EVERYWHERE. Passport check maybe a visa possibly a Customs inspection
Maybe nothing and you just change planes.
Not hard to get the information you need for the Airport you will be using. Not about to list apps for a dozen Airports you will not be using.
Specify your Airline(s) and transfer Airport and not hard to get the appropriate information.
I don't like asking people where to go. Really you just did. TOO BAD the people are there to help you find your way. They do not expect everyone to know the route. If you can't follow the signs or figure out the maps on the walls you ASK a Human.
The signs in your stopping place will be in ENGLISH. And the local language.
As you are a CHILD where is the ADULT that will check you in, take you past a Passport check and greet you in Germany.
German officials will just send you back if there's no Adult to meet you.
CHILDREN can be on the plane. It is getting on them and then exiting destination Airport you have a real problem.
Some airports might have their own apps, but there's no app I know of that helps you navigate airports. And it really isn't necessary. Airports have TONS of signs pointing the way you need to go, and I've never been in an airport that didn't have English on those signs. If you still can't figure it out, you might just have to suck it up and ask someone. But if you take the time to stop and look at the signs, you shouldn't have any trouble getting where you need to be.
It's called reading the signs
If you can read an app, you can read airport signs.
- How do ex Presidents fly around? How do ex Presidents e.g. Presidents Clinton, Obama etc., get around. Does the US Air Force fly them around or do they travel by commercial airlines or private jet? Thanks for the "sensible" answers. @Pilsner Man what is the significance of "buckwheat" or am I just thick. Not from US.
- Is getting around Narita Airport easy? So I'm going to Japan for 10 days in September and I will be landing at Narita Airport. I'm a little nervous I may not find my gate or check in counter. Is it easy to find my gate and is there people there that will direct me to my proper gate at the airport when I go back home to New York since it's a big airport and do most people there speak English?
