Added (1). I paid for the carry on item, but I'm speaking of the actual check by security per say.
Yes it's $125 per 2 lbs for any carry on item.
No, carry-on items are free. But they DO charge a rather hefty fee for checked luggage at the time of arrival, so if you have any of that, do it online.
Spirit charges you to take a carry-on item on board. The longer you wait to pay for it, the more it costs. It can be as little as $37 or as much as $65. If your bag is too large for a carry-on, or you just decide to check it at the gate, then it will be $65.

Should this cause any issues? Has anyone else had any issues getting inhalers through Airport security?
- Does a duffle bag count as a carry on or personal item? And what are some things to bring to the airport when traveling without a passport? I'll be booking with American Airlines by the way and it will be my first time traveling.

I just wanted to know if this would cause someone to ask me to open my luggage. I'm travelling to Singapore and US
