Why Was Minnesota based Northwest Airlines Called Northwest if they had hubs in MSP, MEM, and DTW?
Northwest Airlines Sounds more Seatlle based
It was referring to the northwestern area of the midwest

It started in the northwest and expanded. The old Eastern airlines flew west, too.
History. The same reason Northwestern University is in or almost in Chicago. That was the Northwest at one time.
I should also mention Southwest Airlines.
- Why don't airports use steam catapults and transverse arrestor cables, like they do on aircraft carriers, for extra short take-off & landing? 1. Airports could be pretty tiny with runways no longer than a football field 2. Takeoff and landing (takeoff especially) would be *much* more exciting 3. Airlines could charge people more money because the experience would be much more fun 4. It would save a lot of fuel with much less taxiing around the airfield, and much less fuel used during the takeoff phase
- How much money they will cut for refund fee? Or they will give me full money? Turkish airlines refused my tickets. I wanted to go Brazil to meet my wife from Dhaka Bangladesh. It was one way ticket.
- I cancelled a flight on expedia and was refunded in airline credit. I had purchased insurance on the ticket and didn't realize I had to File a claim to be refunded. I'm **** out of luck because I already ordered my other tickets and American Airlines is charging a $200 fee on the airline credit, so even if I eventually use the credit in the next 12 months, I'm still out $200.
- I did an interview for Delta airlines and in the video interview I accidentally said American Airlines? Has anyone else had this problem? I caught it very quickly and said delta immediately and kept saying delta in the other answers. Do you think it can cost me the next step of the process?
