Is 777-300ER a safe airplane to fly in?

I'm taking Air New Zealand from LA to Heathrow and Heathrow to Frankfurt in Lufthansa's A320-Neo.

The airplane is fine, its the pilot you should worry about…

Perfectly safe. No 777 has ever crashed.

Air New Zealand is an extremely safe airline and the 777-300ER is a very safe aircraft to fly in.

Much safer than trying to swim.

Last time Air New Zealand had an issue with any Boeing plane was a hijacking THIRTY YEARS AGO

. All 105 passengers and 24 crew (including the three hostages) on board were uninjured.

On June 27, 2016, a 777-300ER suffered an oil leak in the right engine while en route from Singapore to Milan as Singapore Airlines Flight 368. There were no injuries

You can consider it a rather safe plane and Airline to fly on.

Your question lists two different Aircraft Lufthansa has had four incidents with their A 320 planes
1)The aircraft touched down Emergency services reported they could not observe anything out of the ordinary.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 10:45 hours, then returned to service.

2) the crew was informed of a possibly flat tyre. The aircraft landed safely.
The aircraft departed for the next flight about 2 hours later.
3) The aircraft landed safely about 30 minutes after the go-around.
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 11 hours then returned to Frankfurt for repair.

4) crew reported the outer layer of the left hand windshield had cracked with no pressurization issue. The aircraft continued for a safe landing about 30 minutes later.

Lufthansa also has a very good safety record.
