Don't you ever to that. You will get a better deal on a travel website.
Not only will you NOT get a better deal, you will get the worst possible deal.
Probably
Nope. You'll pay more.
10% chance at better deal. 10% chance at same deal as anywhere else. 80% chance at the worst deal possible
No, you won't get a better deal. You would have to pay whatever surcharges the airline tacks on for booking through an employee (just like when you make a reservation over the phone).
Additional, you are going to just make life more difficult for everyone else flying that day. Airlines are not staffed to sell tickets at the counter anymore. They barely have enough employees to take your bag after you've checked in at the kiosk and tagged it yourself. If you go there to buy a ticket, you are going to hog the attention of what might be one of only 2-3 employees at the counter for at least 10 minutes, slowing down the entire check-in process. Just go to the airline's website.
No, there are never very good deals for on the day travel. Buying in advance is always better online, as you can shop around.
No, you can't get a better deal at the airport. It may be more expensive.
The only way to get cheap airfares is:
-- book early
-- travel on the cheapest day (check airfares of different travel days): e.g. Midweek flights may be significantly cheaper than weekend flights.
-- compare airfares from different airlines + check prices from budget airlines (when available on your route). As for budget Airlines, be aware of the multiple additional charges for any additional service (luggage, food and drink, and so on).

I suggest you go to the airline's own website to book. Depending on the airline, if you try to buy it at the ticket counter, they may charge you a fee for them to book a ticket for you. I tried calling an airline once about pricing and they gave me the price. But then they tacked on a $35 per ticket booking fee. I told them I was not interested in buying the ticket.
No, you can't and you can't always buy a ticket at the airport because airlines don't want to pay personnel for that. It's cheaper for them if you use the website.
- Why do some people who book Frontier wait till they get to the airport to pay for checkin luggage when it's more than when you pay online? Like you have a small fee online. If you wait till you're at the airport it's a bigger fee. Are these people irrational?
- Can I book international flight with Japan airlines using a prepaid card? Upon browsing, Japan Airlines accepts Credit Card payments for international flight bookings. I don't have a credit card so I plan to get a prepaid card (mastercard) which says to work like a Credit Card, but it seems to me that it's like a Debit. Will it actually be accepted?
- How can I find a good deal to travel to these places? So i'm planning a trip to either DC or New York City for the summer. I want to stay there two days. I want just travel for fun. I have been looking at the airlines official webpage. I noticed that it seems better if I get a package that includes the roundtrip flight and hotel. How much is too much for either places? Package deals for DC goes up to $1000 and the same for New York.
