Is there a pilot shortage in us airline industry Are airlines not going to have enough pilots by 2020 Due to pilot shortage?
Becausr i read an article that a lot of pilots are retiring in 2020
So will the airlines be out of business due to pilot shortage are they still finding ways to solve the pilot shortage
There's only a qualified pilot shortage -
That is pilots with ATP and 5,000 hours…
That is the way flight schools try to get more student pilots -
They say so since November 1973… To try to make a bundle of money -
But airlines do not need pilots with only CPL and 250 hours -
Airlines do not operate Piper Cubs…
Yes, there's. It is causing the airlines to re-think many flights in & out of many smaller airports, by comparing how much $$$ a pilot can bring into the company per flight hour.
This is the exact same GARBAGE that colleges and commercial flight schools have been feeding to people for the past 50 years. "Hurry and give us your money because there's going to be a shortage somewhere in the future and you'll be fully qualified to cash in…" Hasn't happened yet, and as long as there's a surplus of young IDIOTS who are willing to mortgage their future and go THOUSANDS of dollars in debt to finance the training for a commercial pilot's license, there won't be a pilot shortage in three years.
Airlines LIKE having a surplus of qualified pilots. When there are 100 applicants for every job, at least one of them will be willing to work for peanuts just to get the experience…
I've been hearing about this impending "pilot shortage" since the end of WWII. It hasn't happened yet. I'll believe it when I see airline companies visiting high schools, recruiting potential pilots, with fully funded scholarships.
There are not enough UBER drivers either
No but they like to say there's to get more people to pay for their schools.
Just like Nursing, school teachers, and many many other jobs.
There's no Nursing shortage as hospitals etc. Like over working them and had rather pay OT for someone then hire someone who may stay for enough years to get them to have to pay retirement and benefits. There are many nurses looking for work just to be told we arent hiring right now. The hospitals make more money in the long run even paying OT then if they had more full time nurses and ended up paying insurance, and retirement etc.
- Can airline pilots have service dogs/esa dogs? If so, do they bring them into the cockpit? It's just a question that popped into my head and when I looked it up I didn't see anything on it so I thought I should ask on here and see if anyone knows.
- Is there going to be a disruptive model in airline industry in the near future 2 or 3 years from.now? There's a talk about supersonic airliners hypersonic electric planes Will airplanes look different in the near future 2023 Like Japan airlines invested in supersonic planes will Japan airlines no longer have boeing 787 dreamliner or any widebody aircraft will 737 or airbus a320 neo fleet be out of production due to electric airliners
- Is there a shortage of airline pilots in the us and worldwide? If this happens will there be no planes taking off due to pilot shortage in the future Will there be no airplanes operating in the future due to pilot shortage because i like flying because i can reach my destination quicker. And flying is the safest form of travel
- Is it common for airline pilots to miss the airport and have to make a U-turn to land? I was wondering because it was my first time flying and the pilot flew over the airport at first, made a U-turn, and then landed on the runway on the way back. Is this common for pilots to miss their airport on the first go?
