Can airline pilots have service dogs/esa dogs? If so, do they bring them into the cockpit?
It's just a question that popped into my head and when I looked it up I didn't see anything on it so I thought I should ask on here and see if anyone knows.
I'm thinking that a blind pilot might need one. I've never seen a blind pilot, but then if there's one, he hasn't seen me, either.
I can't think of any condition which a "service dog" can work with a pilot period. If a pilot were to need a service dog the condition would keep the pilot from passing the physical thus voiding his certificate.
Not dogs because they can get into the foot controls of the plane. Pilots can have cats for support to help relieve the high stress, but must cage them during take off and landing when stress is most critical. Some foreign airlines allow pilots to have parrots since the birds can talk and furnish advice during a crises. Reduces down the onerous training requirements.
I think anyone can have a service dog no rnatter where they work and they can bring thern anywheres too
Sure, didn't you know that a service dog flies a plane for blind pilot
If a pilot needs either one of those then they would not be commercial pilots. Emotional support animal is a bs term. All pets are emotional support
Being in need of a service dog pretty much rules out that person from being a pilot.
Perhaps you should try to have logical question pop in your head, because that one does look like something else is popped in your head.
Short answer - NO.
Only the blind pilots can have service dogs.
When things like that pop into your head, maybe you shouldn't share them with anyone.
- Why do pilots still go to bathroom without having flight attendant in the cockpit? Hi. I thought a flight attendant should go into the cockpit when one of the pilots go to the bathroom because of what the German wing first officer pilot did to the airbus plane. But I was surprised when I saw an Air France A318 pilot getting out of the cockpit and going to the bathroom without having a second person in the cockpit when I was traveling from Paris to Geneva two months ago. Isn't it very dangerous? I thought the rules were changed after that German wings incident?
- If companies stopped making supersonic planes like the concorde because it was too noisy expensive why are they bringing them back? Companies like nasa lockheed martin are working on supersonic air travel And colorado company boom is developing a 55 seater plane So if companies are working on supersonic travel does that mean airlines will have to cancel their boeing 787 dreamliner or airbus A350 orders or any widebody orders due to supersonic travel
