Why are airline sales prices more expensive coming home than going to an destination?
Its more expensive to come home from vacation than traveling to a destination with airlines why is that so
I think it is because its a two way ticket?
Not sure where you are seeing this because if you book on an airlines website you can see the different prices and not all of them are more than the outbound.
But many times, people fly home on a Sunday or Friday which can be very expensive because they know you want to come home on those days. But if you bought a flight to say Las Vegas on Friday and came home on Monday it is almost guaranteed that your return flight will be cheaper than the outbound flight
Each leg of the trip is priced independently and many factors effect the price
That's not always the case. Flight prices depend on a number of factors, such as date of travel, time of the flight, how far in advance is was booked, how popular that route is, etc.
That may be true for your times and dates, but it's not inherently true. You can test this by swapping your 'home' and 'destination' in your search. You should see the home>dest price and the dest>home to be the same as it was before.
- Can an airline change your flight time more than 24 hours? I've heard that airlines can change your flight time up until departure. Can they change your flight more than a day before or ater your original flight was scheduled as this can be an inconvenience.
- Should I be scared coming home at 12:00 am? I'm catching Lyft from the airport and I'll be coming home alone at 12:00 am maybe 12:45 am should I be afraid?
- If companies stopped making supersonic planes like the concorde because it was too noisy expensive why are they bringing them back? Companies like nasa lockheed martin are working on supersonic air travel And colorado company boom is developing a 55 seater plane So if companies are working on supersonic travel does that mean airlines will have to cancel their boeing 787 dreamliner or airbus A350 orders or any widebody orders due to supersonic travel
- Why do some people who book Frontier wait till they get to the airport to pay for checkin luggage when it's more than when you pay online? Like you have a small fee online. If you wait till you're at the airport it's a bigger fee. Are these people irrational?
