Question for new flight attendants?
How long did it take to hear back from the airlines you applied to? I applied to 5 airlines last month. UA, I completed a video interview, haven't heard back. AA, I completed the personality assessment, haven't heard back. Spirit and GoJet haven't responded at all. Frontier is the only one that responded saying they chose a different candidate. Will the other 4 airlines at least send me something saying they chose someone else?
Also, I signed up to receive notifications about new job listings at United. They sent me a message today saying they were hiring at each of their hubs. The position I initially applied for said ORD. Wondering if I should apply for the FA jobs at all the other hubs as well?
They get a great many applications, so don't worry if it takes 2 weeks or so to respond. You should consider how you will travel to reach the base location, so applying for multiple hub cities might not be the best option. These jobs are likely to be for later in the year, is recruitment now, takes several months to applicants being fully trained and ready to operate on flights, ie june or July this year.
- What are the least demanding international airlines when hiring flight attendants (female)? I'm somewhat short (1,55m or 5'1ft) and have 6 tattoos (although only one is visible, a small one below my neck in my back but usually the scarf we flight attendants use hide it) so I'd like to know which airlines worldwide care less about those "shortcomings" when planning to hire a female flight attendant.
- Which airline companies pay their future flight attendants during their training, and which airline companies are unionized? I also wanted to know which airline companies pay their future flight attendants during their training time, as well as which ones pay for their housing whether it be at a hotel somewhere or not. And which airline companies pay their flight attendants the best and treat their employees the best?
- Question about planes in the sky? Ok so I don't live in an area where there's an airport near me, checked on flight radar just to be curious as to what these aircraft might be but they didn't show up on the tracker.
- What language do flight attendants usually speak on worldwide flights? Like if you work for an airline and fly from Germany to England or vice versa would you have to speak English or German?
