Best way to get to Times Square from JFK airport?
Traveling into JFK & need to know the best ways to get to our hotel from there. I've read a couple different ways like a cab or taking the Airtrain
A cab is expensive and will get caught in traffic. Rail is a much better option, cheaper and faster.
Air Train to the LIRR to Penn Station and then walking or a cab (or walking to another subway line) or Air Train to the subway system. The MTA website can help you plan.
Air Train to Jamaica Station and then the E into PABT
The fastest and the cheapest way: AirTrain to Jamaica Station and then Manhattan-bound E train to 42nd Street - Port Authority Bus Terminal Station, which on 8th Avenue and 42 Street, one block west of Times Square. If you don't want to walk that one block, at Queens Plaza station you can transfer across the platform to the Manhattan-bound R train which stops at Times Square.
The 42 Street-PABT and the Times Square Station are connected by a free transfer underground corridor. There are elevators at the Jamaica Station, 42 Street Station and at the Times Square Station for easy access with luggage.
Some of the better hotels provide a courtesy car or bus to and from airports. Ask if yours does
Walk.
I used Uber. Cheaper than a cab, but still pricey.
- What's the best car route to JFK Airport from western New Jersey I-78, during evening rush hour? I'm flying out of JFK in a couple weeks. I will have my car, with reserved parking already lined up. I will be coming from the west on interstate 78. Should I try to avoid Manhattan and head south and go around via Staten Island? How much time should I allow? My flight is not until late, so I've got all day.
- Newark airport connection times? I'm flying from Regan airport, Washington dc, to London Heathrow with a connection of 1 hour and 30 minutes in newark. I was wondering if this is enough time to connect and how I would recheck my bags after I collect them in newark? I have to get from terminal A to terminal C.
- What is the cheapest way to get to DFW Airport for a 1-month trip? I'm going to England for about a month around Christmas, and I live in OKC. I find a wildly cheaper flight on Iceland Air, but the catch is that I'd somehow have to hoof it to DFW airport, but it'd save a couple thousand (I have multiple passengers). What would be the cheapest way to get there and back? And getting driven by a friend is not an option, as the few people I know who might be able to drive 4 hours on a workday are unfortunately occupied.
- I have international flight starting from indianapolis to Newark airport on united airline and the second Flight from JFK airport to Trukey? So I will need to change the airport from newark airport to JFK My question is am I going to get my luggages to the final destination ( Turkey) or I have to pick my luggages from newark airport and check them in JFK airport?
