How are airports and airlines improving passenger experience with new technologies and get passengers to their gate? - 1

They're not. They're just raising their rates and charging more for things that used to be included in the price of a ticket, like checked baggage.

It's hard to force people to get o the gate early, but the boarding process is getting better, with more organised queues, auto boarding and smart readers, able to accept apps, printed boarding cards etc.
