Can I fly with Airsoft guns?
If yes, how? What should I do to avoid confusion?
I'm flying with United Airlines.
Put them in your checked bag.
Funny
It would be easier to contact a gun dealer in the place you are going and arrange to have UPS ship them to that location and just pick them up when you arrive.
Put them in check luggage
Only in your checked bag, and you also need to contact the airline about any special packing rules they might have for those.
Airsoft guns can ONLY be transported in Checked Baggage.
However, the CO2 cylinders are NOT allowed to be transported unless they are empty. You must be able to show the TSA officers that they are indeed empty.
You can look at United Airlines site under Paintball equipment to find the best guide as to what is allowed for you.
You have selected a best answer, but I will answer anyways in support of OC1999s answer.
Checked baggage only.
If you are going to bring the CO2 cylinders with you, please make sure the regulator is removed just in case an inspection is required.
In checked baggage and you must notify the airline
Idon't understand why you didn't just call United and ASK them. Nobody knows United's own rules better than United.
No
- Can you fly from England to Ireland without a passport? My passport is out of date and has been for a while and I need to get to Ireland within the next few weeks, by Ryanair. Any way I can get there by Ryanair with no passport?
- Can my friend enter the international part of the airport on my layover so I can visit him? I have a 5 hour layover in fort lauderdale coming from out of the country and I want to visit my friend who lives there at the airport bar. Should I exit through customs or can he come in if he doesn't have a ticket anywhere?
- Can I fly my drone a 1/4 of a mile close to the end of the radius of an airport? I live next to 3 airports but I'm just on the edge of the 5-mile radius. Would it be fine to fly my drone or do I need to contact the airports?
- I bought a nonrefundable ticket and couldn't fly because of a panic attack that happened at the airport. Can I still get credit/money back? I was told they would charge me $200 to change each ticket--which is about how much the tickets cost me. Which is preposterous. Other airlines charge $20-$40 to do this in many cases.
