Taking a tiara through airport security?

I'm going on a flight tomorrow and i have a metal tiara i need to bring with me because all i have is carry ons. Will this be allowed? Will i need to take it out of my bag when i go through security or will I be able to leave it in my bag?

They might want to look at it to make sure what it is when it shows on the scanner. Otherwise there's no problem.

Either take it out of the bag or pack it on top in case it triggers the X-ray or metal detector. They will not confiscate it.

Yes. Leave it in the carry on. If they want to see what it is after being scanned, they'll open the carry on.

It's quite common for them to ask to have a look at something that triggers the detector. They'll ask you to open the bag and show them. Then you just put it back in, close the bag again and move on.

It's allowed. Metal items are not restricted just because they are metal. Items are restricted if they are potential weapons. That is not the case with your tiara. Leave it in your bag unless they ask for it to be removed for additional screening (which they might).
