Are American Airlines carry on restrictions exact? Or linear?
I saw online that the restrictions are 22x14x9 but both of the carry ons I have at home are 21x15x9. Does it go by the total inches? Which would be 45 for both. Or will they give me problems because of the bigger width. I'd hate to have to pay the checking fee over an inch.
The three numbers are the absolute largest number in each dimension. 21 X 15 will not fit in a 22 x 14 space. So no, it is not total inches. The spaces are not flexible.

- How do I find dimensions that match the exact airline I'm traveling? I'm planning this europe trip to a bunch of places. During the trip, I use 3 different airlines. Of all of them, i calculated the smallest maximum luggage requirement for a carry on and a personal item. 21 x 15 x 7.8 15 x 11 x 3.9 Maybe i'm looking incorrectly, but for the life of me I can't find baggage online that has the requirements I need. Any advice on where to look, how to look, would be deeply appreciated.

- Why are American Low Cost airlines very good compared to European Low cost airlines? Hi. Ryanair and Easy jet suck in Europe. I was so impressed by JetBlue and South West in the US. They were just like legacy major airlines
